Dear participants of the Conference,
The sudden death of Dr. Heinrich Pfeiffer plunged us all in deep sorrow. Unfortunately, he will not be with us, but still the memory of him, and recalling the words of Cicero Vita Mortuorum in memoria est vivorum posita we want to make our memory of Heinrich became the keynote of the Conference.
Here we send you some important organizational information, and we ask you to make the final registration and booking of accommodation.Please make the registration through the conference website by selecting the

Thanks to all for your submitted application. Their large number and not clear final financial situation of conference as well as the organizational considerations, forced us to introduce a small registration fee.
Details regarding of the amount and method of payment are contained in the section “Fees & Payment” on the conference website.
The fee includes: 3 nights in Hotel Ibis Budget class (2*), meals, conference materials and events during the conference.
For participants from abroad, in justified cases it is possible to book two additional nights at highly reduced price.
The fee should be paid in time for the March 6, 2017. The payment of the fee is a condition of hotel a booking.
The Humboldtians being in difficult financial situation (especially from countries with a weak currency), for which the fee may be a significant expense, can submit an informal application for its return. We will try to take into account this request.
In case of resignation from participation in the conference until May 15, the fee will be refunded in full. After that date the actual organizational costs will be deducted.
The persons invited by the organizers to deliver the plenary lectures and invited young researchers selected in the course of challenge are exempted from the fee.
The Conference participants will be accommodated in the hotels Ibis Budget class (2*). Generally we reserve three night, i.e. from Thursday June,22 to Sunday June, 25.
The check in time is from 14:00, and the check out until 12:00 on the day of your departure.
With regard to foreign participants bearing in mind the need for a longer stay in Krakow which can be associated with a grid of flights we offer on request two additional nights 21/22 and 25/26 June at the discount price of 15 Euro for a double room per night.
The organizers have also at disposal a certain number of rooms at the higher class hotel Polonez (3 *), which is located closest to the place of meeting. The choice of this hotel requires the surcharge of 25 Euro per room per night (in the period 22-25 June) or 45 Euro for the nights 21/22 and 25/26.
The accommodation for young researchers includes four nights from 21st to 25th June due to special morning session (workshop) on Thursday June,22.
The young researchers will be accommodated in double rooms in the student’s dormitory free of charge.
Before 15 May 2017 you will receive a confirmation with indication of the hotel and its address.
Those who wish to find accommodation in another hotel can book it at their own expense using the website booking.com.
Those who wish to extend their stay in Krakow, please contact with the organizers to determine the conditions.
We encourage all participants for a longer stay in Krakow because at that time many interesting events will take place. ( for example the Days of Krakow City, Lajkonik- Hobby Horse and the famous Jewish Culture Festival). You can find more information in the section “What to see in Krakow”
You can find the Framework program of the conference in the section “Program”.
We plan that the conference will start on Thursday, June 22 approximately 16 o’clock and finish on Sunday lunch approximately 14 o’clock.
We received more than 80 proposals to give a lecture. We will try to give a significant number of them as oral presentation (as short communique), however, due to the large number of applications some of them may be accepted only as posters. The Authors of works qualified as posters will receive an additional right to publish an article in the conference proceedings (with a volume of 5-7 standard pages).
You will obtain soon a separate letter with acceptance of submitted presentation because it may be useful for the travel planning, visa etc.
Information about the form of presentation (short oral communique /poster) will be send to you in March 2017 after final determination of the program.
For conference participants, and particularly for accompanying persons a number of trips both in Cracow and in the vicinity (eg. Salt mine in Wieliczka) will be organized. These trips will be free of charge or at the reduced price.
