Dear Participants,

 

It was our great pleasure to host you in Krakow and we would like to thank you for your participation in the conference “Limits of Knowledge”.

Our conference was attended by 282 participants (among them 123 were from abroad). Representatives of Humboldt alumni (109) and young researchers (50) came from 25 different countries: Argentine (1), Australia (5), Canada (2), Czech Republic (3), Denmark (1), Egypt (6) Estonia (1), Finland (1), France (2), Georgia (3), Germany (31), Hungary (9), Jordan (3), Luxemburg (2), Portugal (3), Romania (1), Russia (7), Serbia (3), Switzerland (1), Thailand (2), Turkey (6) UK (1), Ukraine (25), USA (4) and Poland (159).

Over 60 invited speakers presented their lectures and posters. There was also a special panel discussion devoted to the memory of Dr. Heinrich Pfeiffer and his contribution to the development of the Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation, and a round table discussion about the perspectives of the Science – how we can cross the limits of our knowledge.

We hope that the conference was interesting for you and you enjoyed visiting the old city of Krakow.
